I photographed the vacant 1706 Westheimer Road building with plans to make a backpack of it.
About a month later I witnessed its demolition while in Domy Books, across the street.
Suddenly, recreating this building became a crucial part in preserving the neighborhood.
Plans have been released for the construction of the lot and I must say I am a bit heartbroken.
